Practical, inspirational resources to help you grow
The desire for good health is a personal need of everyone. And ministering to the health needs of others will often be an entering wedge for the gospel, as prejudice is broken down. The following booklet, created by the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries department, gives some practical keys to Health Evangelism and how to get started in your local church!
In the book Ministry of Healing we are told, “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, 'Follow Me' ” (p.143). Watch the following video to see how Total Member Involvement can help take Health Evangelism to a whole new level if God’s people work together.
Happy Sabbath Praise
Remember, Jesus has been wounded that by His stripes we might be healed! This week our “Happy Sabbath Praise” Scripture song is titled “Is Anyone Among You Suffering” and is based on James 5:13-16. Sing along and be blessed as we serve the master physician and healer of broken hearts and bodies. This song comes from the album Sing to the Lord by Derek and Bodil Morris.
Up until now you may have considered yourself a fairly humble person. However, this short “Healthy Heart Challenge” is sure to challenge you in new ways, as you seek to go deeper in your walk with Christ. Remember, true revival can’t begin until we recognize how desperately we need Christ to change our hearts. Then as we fall broken at the foot of the Cross, surrendering our pride and self-sufficiency to Him, it is His joy to encircle us in the arms of His love, and make us new creatures that will display His glory!
Personal Witnessing is a very broad and interesting subject. Many books have been written on it. In this pamphlet we have drawn from a variety of people who have not only written about how to do it, but who have had much practice and have experienced success, by God’s grace. This booklet was created by the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries department at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Happy Sabbath Praise
Each Friday as we prepare to welcome the Sabbath, we want to share a Scripture praise song here on the Revival and Reformation website. The first song that we want to share is titled “Ask the LORD for Rain” and comes from the album Green Pastures by Derek and Bodil Morris. The song is based on Zechariah 10:1, as well as Joel 2:28-29 and Matthew 7:7-8. Sing along and be blessed!
In Mark 11:17 it says, “My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer.” The question you may be asking though is, “How do I help create a house of prayer in my church?” In this inspiring video, produced by Ministry in Motion, Sabine Vatel shares some practical ideas. She also shares what “A House of Prayer for All People” looks like at the Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church near Orlando Florida. You will be blessed!
