Psalms 100
Reading Time: Less than one minute Listen
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Commentary
While hiking in the beautiful Mt Baker forest not far from our home, I was thinking about this Psalm of praise. Our lives can be a joyful sound to the Lord. He created us for His enjoyment. Nature is full of singing birds and even a bubbling spring sounds happy. The words that we speak should uplift our hearts in praise to our God. Every day we should seek to bring others a little slice of Heaven and show how we can be happy and cheerful even when going about our daily tasks. You can’t stay grumpy when you sing. If you find yourself in a down mood, just try singing a hymn. You will feel your attitude change and it’s a great way to come before the Lord for help. Maybe when our words and actions uplift others around us, while removing fear and anxiety, we are producing music to God’s ever listening ear.
Let Him send a song to wake you up in the morning. I love waking up to a song Jesus has given me for the day. Let us sing praises to our God. For the Lord is good every day!
